The Campus is located on the Jalandhar-Amritsar Highway about 3 kms from the PAP Chowk. Fulfilling the demands of people of Doaba region for quality education, Guru Nanak Dev University established its Regional campus at Jalandhar in 1979 with English, Punjabi and Law departments.

I feel deeply honoured to share that Guru Nanak Dev University has always been an excellent centre of learning for students for the last 50 years. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has awarded it the highest status of 'University with Potential for Excellence' as an acknowledgement to the university's contribution in teaching and cutting edge research of significance. The University is also accredited with 'A++' Grade by NAAC.
With the rapid advancement in the Information & Communication technology and emerging trends based on smart infrastructures has brought new challenges.
The ability to create opportunities through innovation and to provide sustainable smart solutions to these contemporary challenges is going to be the forte of up-coming generation. Python Bootcamp and Coding Seminar was organized at Guru Nanak Dev University, Jalandhar,Ladhewali. The session included introduction to python, its increasing demand in tech industry.
Milan-e-Bahaar was organised at Guru Nanak Dev University in Ladhewali. Students and faculty members of various departments joined hands to present a cultural bouquet with great fun and enthusiasm. The function began with lighting of the lamp by Prof Rupum Jagota, Associate Dean (Academic Affairs and Student Welfare); Varinder Singh, head of department of law; Deepkamal Kaur, head of department of computers and electronics; Namarta Joshi, head of department of journalism and mass communication; and organising committee students. During the event, event was a riot of mesmerising performances with Punjabi and Bollywood songs, dances, fashion show, choreography on retro theme. The highlight was also the ramp walk and dance by teachers. There were also dance performances from other regions like Himachal Pradesh and Haryana. The students enjoyed the evening with DJ songs. Food stalls were also put up to cater to the taste buds of the students.
Under the patronage of the District Legal Service Authority, Jalandhar, the Legal Aid Cell of the Department of Laws, GNDU R.C, Jalandhar celebrated the ‘International Human Rights Day’ which was on 10 December. Highlighting the importance of the day Prof. (Dr.) Rupam Jagota Associate Dean, advised the students to imbibe in themselves the qualities of oneness and equality. Dr. Varinder Singh, Head of Department of Laws also persuaded the students to promote the idea of fraternity and brotherhood. All the faculty members were also present during the celebrations.
As per the orders of the Chief Judicial Magistrate cum Secretary DLSA, JaJandhar, the Legal Aid Cell of the Department of Laws, GNDU RC Jalandhar participated in' 1000 Tree Plantation Drive'. ll I was organized on 24 'July, 2024. 3.45 pin at the National 1-lighway, Village Nangal Shan1a. Hoshiarpur R.oad. Jalandhar. While flagging off the teain, Dean of GNDU RC, Prof. (Dr.) Rupan1 Jagota en1phasized on the participation of youth in establishing a 'GREEN PUNJAB'. The I-lead of the Department of Lmts, Dr. Varinder Singh, GNDU RC, Jalandhar received back the team and applauded them for their efforts. Mr.Nirbhai Singh, Sessions Judge, Jalandhar also graced the occasion.
The students of the NSS unit of GNDU (RC) Jalandhar, Coordinated by Dr. Charankawal Walia and Campus Ambassador Akshat Lally under the agis of the Associate Dean Prof (Dr) Rupam Jagota, celebrated the 78th Independence day. The emphasis was on harmony & unity in consonance with environment protection and Sustainability. Dr Varinder Singh, Head Dept of Laws, Dr Buta Singh Head Dept of Engineering and Technology, Dr Namrata Joshi Head Dept of journalism and mass communication, Dr Manjit Singh along with other faculty members and students made a plantation drive on this occasion.
Robotics Educational Tour, April 26, 2024: Dr. DeepKamal Randhawa led B.Tech. students at Guru Nanak Dev University, Jalandhar, exploring diverse autonomous robots. Dr. K.S. Nagla facilitated interactive sessions, showcasing futuristic advancements. Teachers Dr. Neetika Soni and Dr. Harmandar Kaur inspired students to innovate based on insights gained.
"On April 23, 2024, Guru Nanak Dev University's Department of Laws, Regional Campus, Jalandhar, celebrated World Book Day. Adv. Harpreet Singh Sandhu showcased a visual book on "Read your way 2024" and promoted social causes. Dr. Vanita Khanna and Dr. Komal Krishan Mehta's "Principles of Administrative Law" was unveiled."
April 10, 2024, logical and intellectual competitions of Chess, sudoku, technical crosswords and Rubik's Cube were organized. The students showcased mental agility and intellect.The student coordinators Jatinder Singh, Harleen Singh, Imanpal Singh and Kartik ensured smooth conduct of the competitions.

On 14 August, 2023, Independence Day Celebration was organised by NSS in Engineering and Technology Department of Guru Nanak Dev University, Regional Campus, Jalandhar to proudly celebrate India's 77th Independence Day, marking 76 years of freedom.
Induction Programme 2023 organized by the Department of Engineering and Technology Guru Nanak Dev University Regional Campus, Jalandhar An induction programme was organized by GNDU R.C. Jalandhar on 2 August 2023 in the campus for the welcome of the new entrants of various B.Tech. courses of batch 2023-24.
On 12th April 2023, seminar was organized by sweep to spread the awareness among children to vote. They gave information about how vote is important for growth and development of the country.Sweep and NSS volunteers gave their contribution into the program.
Aagaaz 2023 was organised by the Department of Laws, Guru Nanak Dev University, RC Jalandhar from 6-7 April,2023.The event started with inauguration by Dr. Harveen Bhardwaj, President, Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, Jalandhar and Dr. Gagan Deep Kaur, C.J.M. Cum Secretary, D.L.S.A. Jalandhar who were invited as Chief Guests of the occasion.
