NSS Day Celebrated at GNDU Regional Campus
National Service Scheme (NSS) Day was celebrated on Wednesday at the Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) Regional Campus, Ladhewali. On this occasion, a guest lecture on e-waste management was organized. Bipan Suman, the project manager of the NGO 'Pahal', was the main speaker. Associate Dean Prof. Butta Singh spoke about the increasing threat of e-waste in society, while NSS Program Officer Dr. Charan Kamal Walia discussed the role of NSS in student life. Dr. Namrata Joshi, Dr. Varinder Singh, Dr. Deepkamal Randhawa, Dr. Savita, and Himanshu were also present.
Entrepreneurship Awareness with Mr. Mick Walvisch
GNDU Regional Campus Jalandhar, under Associate Dean Dr. Butta Singh and Head Dr. Deepkamal Randhawa, organized a session on Entrepreneurship and Startups to promote innovation and self-employment. Mr. Mick Walvisch, an international entrepreneur and mentor, shared insights on startup challenges, funding, and networking, stressing passion, resilience, and problem-solving. His real-life experiences encouraged students to explore entrepreneurship beyond conventional careers. The event, coordinated by the Entrepreneurship Cell with Dr. Vinit Grewal and Dr. Harmandar Kaur, concluded with an interactive Q&A, drawing enthusiastic participation from students and faculty. National Voter's Day Celebration
On the auspicious occasion of National Voter's Day 2024, the students of Guru Nanak Dev University, Regional Campus, Ladhewali, Jalandhar, showcased remarkable enthusiasm and participation in various competitions organized by the District Administration, Jalandhar. Spearheaded by the Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP), these competitions aimed to foster awareness and encourage eligible voters to exercise their franchise.

18 Students of Guru Nanak Dev University, Regional Campus, Jalandhar were honoured who have passed various prestigious examinations including Judical officers, Deputy District Attorney and many more. Bhangra on Dhol Workshop
14 August, 2023 Bhangra on Dhol Workshop was organized in Department of Engineering and Technology at Guru Nanak Dev University, Regional Campus, Jalandhar by Bhangra Illusion Studio with a team of 10 members headed by S. Lakhvir Singh and Parmod Kumar. All the students were energetic and enthusiastic about the workshop. On 14 August, 2023, Independence Day Celebration was organised by NSS in Engineering and Technology Department of Guru Nanak Dev University, Regional Campus, Jalandhar to proudly celebrate India's 77th Independence Day. On 12th April 2023, a seminar was organized by sweep for spreading the awareness among children about their voting rights. Aagaaz Law Fest 2023
Aagaaz 2023 was organised by the Department of Laws, Guru Nanak Dev University, Regional Campus Jalandhar from 6th-7th April,2023. Legal, Art and Literary events were held on day-1st which included Trial by Jury, Client Counselling, debate, legal quiz, bollywood moot court, calligraphy, poster making, art out of dump and Rangoli. Sports Meet 2023
Two Days Sports Meet held in the GNDU Regional Campus where students from IT as well as Law department participated in sports activities where team Rebels stood overall champion. Stubble Burning Awareness
Students of Guru Nanak Dev University made farmers aware of disadvantages of stubble burning of crops with the help of NSS Volunters of RC Jalandhar on 20th October 2022. Dept of Engineering and Technology, GNDU Regional campus, Jalandhar organised a two day tech- fest "INSIGNIA 2022" on 29th April and 30th April 2022. The technical events and fun events were organised on 29th April 2022. The cultural events were organised on 30th April 2022. The participants showed an overwhelming response for various events. The winners were awarded with certificates and goodies.
Bollywood Hungama
An extravagant event, 'Bollywood Hungama', was organised by the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, GNDU, Regional Campus, Ladhewall. The event had different categories like dialogue delivery, quiz, singing and dancing. Students from various colleges and universities of the city participated in the event.
Bhagat Singh ji Matryrdom Day
On 24 March 2022: Dept of Engineering and Technology, GNDU, R.C., Jalandhar under the NSS Programme commemorated the Matryrdom day of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh ji. A quiz contest was organized to spread awareness amongst the young generation about the life of Shaheed Bhagat Singh ji and the contribution towards the freedom fight for the country.
One day National Seminar
Jalandhar, 29 march: -A one day National Seminar on Changing Dimensions Of Law: An Expanding Horizon was organized by the Law Department of Guru Nanak Dev University Regional Campus Ladhewali Jalandhar. The aim was to revive intellectual and policy debates on the relationship between law and social change, to eliminate social democracy and inequality.
NSS Programme on IWD 2022
On 8 March 2022. GNDU, R.C., Jalandhar under the NSS Programme organised several competitions including Mehndi, Rangoli, Speech, and Collage Competitions.International Women's day was celebrated in the campus with much enthusiasm and zeal. Teachers made the students aware of women's rights. Participants gave speeches on women empowerment,role of women in shaping our society.
Open Mic in GNDU Media Dept
alandhar December 6 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at GNDU Regional Campus at Ladhewali here organized an Open Mic today. Participants gave their performances in poetical recitation, singing and mimicry with great enthusiasm. They were felicitated with potted plants by the students and faculty of the department.
Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav
The District Legal Service Authority, Jalandhar organized legal awareness programme under the umbrella of PAN India Awareness and Outreached Programme to celebrate "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav" and Legal Service week from 8th November, 2021 to 14th November, 2021. In this regard Shri. Bhupinder Mittal, CJJD/JMIC, delivered a lecture to the students of Department of law, GNDU RC Jalandhar.

Jalandhar November 16 (Jaswinder Singh Azad)- National Press Day was celebrated in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at Ladhewali here today to commemorate the establishment of PCI in 1966.On this occasion, Mr. Varinder Walia, Editor Punjabi Jagran, was the Guest of Honour. An exhibition on newspapers from different states was held, which was inaugurated by Mr. Walia.

On the eve of commemorating the 75th year of India’s independence “Azadika Amrit Mahotsav”, Department of law, GNDU,RC Jalandhar organized PAN India Awareness and Outreached Programmes underthe patronaze of District legal Service Authority(DLSA).The GNDU RC,Jalandhar was assigned the task of raising Legal Awareness in various villages of district of Mehatpur and Noormahal by DLSA.

NSS Camp at GNDU Campus
7 October, 2021 - Guru Nanak Dev University Regional Campus, Jalandhar - One day NSS camp from the NSS unit of Engineering and Technology Department under the supervision of Dr. Jyoteesh Malhotra and Dr. Manjeet Singh. In this one day NSS camp there was Poster Making Competition on social topics like Female Foeticide, Drug Abuse and AIDS Awareness etc.
Sapling Plantation at GNDU Campus
Jalandhar - NSS camp from the NSS unit of Engineering and Technology Department under the supervision of Dr. Jyoteesh Malhotra and Dr. Manjeet Singh. Program started with planting of saplings. Dr. Manjeet Singh said " We should plant more trees in order to protect our environment. " Students also took pledge to plant more trees.
Students selected for jobs
August 25 2021, Four students from the engineering and technology department, have been selected by two companies before completion of the course. Two students Sachin Mehta and Utkarsh Dhiman will get 5 lakh per annum, the other two students Seerat Kaur and Pranshu Sharma will get 5.3 lakh per annum. The companies have also promised to give a stipend to students during their training period.

Department of Engineering and Technology, GNDU Regional Campus, Jalandhar organised a two day online Tech-Fest “Tech-Arena 2021” on 6th and 7th of May. The participants showed an overwhelming response with more than 600 registrations for various events like Pragmatic Hackathon, Code-combat, Mock GATE test, Mock Aptitude test, Tech out of Waste, Recursive Reels.
Linux + Git and Github workshop
This workshop was organised on 16 March 2021 under the guidance of Dr Harmandar Kaur, Cocurricular activities incharge and under the able guidance of Dr. Jyoteesh Malhotra, Associate Dean. Students of third year Ashwani Kumar, Pranshu Sharma, Tanmay Dewan and Utkarsh Dhiman. Students got familiar with elementary commands used in Command Line Interface enhancing their knowledge of the CLI environment.
